Doris Carson Williams is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to over 600 African American business owners and Professionals. Additionally the cChamber's membership includes other minority groups, over 60 non-profit organizations, and over 50 minority businesses. Forty major corporations serve as sponsors helping the Chamber fulfill its mission of economic parity for their members.
Doris Carson Williams contributes her ability to lead to several major organizations in the region. She is a board member of Highmark, Allegheny Health Network, and Vice Chair of the Highmark Foundation. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and is the immediate past President of the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline. A certified member of the National Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and member of their Board of Directors. Doris c--chaired the 2014 G-20 summit in Pittsburgh. A member of the International Women's Forum, Doris holds the entrepreneur of the the year award by Washington and Jefferson College, and the 2017 Pittsburgh Opera Maecenas Community Leadership Award. The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland appointed Doris Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors for 2021.
Doris is a graduate of the University of Hartford, holds a Graduate Certificate from Fairfield University in Banking and Finance, and is a Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh's Katz School of Business with a Certificate in their Management Program for Executives. She received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Carlow University. She and husband James reside in Pittsburgh and have one son, James lll, and are the proud grandparents of James lV and Jade Marie Williams.
